Hensley's "All the Lights On" tells the story of founding a theater company that takes high-quality theater to non-traditional (and many times first time) audiences including prisons, ESL groups, and homeless shelters. Hensley shares the tribulations and triumphs of leading her actors into unique situations without the typical trappings of a theater like an elevated stage and fancy lighting. I recommend this for theater professionals and students who are interested exploring theater when it travels to its audience. Hensley made some brave choices and it is inspiring to follow her journey creating Ten Thousand Things.

Ebooks to Take With You On Your Creative Journey
Why ebooks? I love them. I read ebooks on my phone or tablet for few reasons. First, the book I'm reading goes with me wherever I go; I can pick it up and put it down with out carrying a physical book in my bag. Second, I think holding up my phone (or a light tablet) in bed is comfortable. Another reason for loving electronic books is that they don't create physical clutter in my already overflowing bookshelves. I understand that everyone doesn't feel the same way. That's okay with me because I understand the joyful feeling of holding (and smelling) a book in your hands and the joy of sharing a book with a friend or passing an amazing book along in the universe to find another reader.
It's my gift to readers of Artfully Engaging. You! Please feel free to share this give-away with those who would appreciate these theater books.
