Add some sparkle to your holiday celebrations with dance, music, comedy, and family-friendly Minneapolis events...
Looking for some great holiday deals on theater tickets in the Twin Cities metro area? I recently posted about a 20% off ticket offer for How the Grinch Stole Christmas at The Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. It was so popular that I decided to gather some of my favorite discounts for you in a holiday post.
The offers below are at least half-off, but just know that some handling fees most likely apply. My tip with holiday shows is to plan ahead, as much as possible. Tickets are popular at this time of year and many of the Christmas show sell out. So, scope out these ticket deals and get them while tickets last. |
Minnesota Dance Theatre's "LOYCE HOULTON'S NUTCRACKER FANTASY"
State Theatre (Minneapolis, MN)
An outlandish holiday favorite, "Loyce Houlton's Nutcracker Fantasy" remains one of Minnesota's most treasured traditions of the season. The story begins at a Christmas party in 19th-century Nuremberg, and unfolds through the eyes of Marie as her wizardly godfather, Drosselmayer, weaves a magical fantasy. His tale takes her on an extraordinary adventure to the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Experience the beautiful choreography of Loyce Houlton danced by Minnesota Dance Theatre company members, guests artists and children of the School, with the brilliant music of Tchaikovsky played by the 44-piece Nutcracker Orchestra and led by Philip Brunelle.

Now you can get away from it all, by booking a trip on "The Polarizing Express: Dysfunction Junction", with your conductor: Brave New Workshop. You'll ride the rails of comedy, stopping off in Belly Laugh Junction and -- O.K., enough of that metaphor.
